Escondido City Hall , 2013 Members of the Escondido City Council will have up to 11 choices when they meet Wednesday to discuss who they want to appoint to an open seat on the council.As of the Jan. 13 deadline for submitting applications, 12 Escondido residents had filed the necessary paperwork to be considered for the vacant council slot. (One candidate later withdrew her application). City Clerk Zack Beck has verified that all of the applicants are eligible for appointment to the post, and a final list of candidates has been assembled for council consideration.
